First of all welcome on PerUinfo.org and I hope the website will be of any use/interest to you.

I'm Walter, 37 years old and from The Netherlands. In 2000 I came to Peru and stayed and lived there untill mid 2007.
I've seen many things, more things day by day, things I think people should know/be warned about when they come visit Peru, so i've decided to start this website.
Peru is for me one of the most beautiful countries there are, people are nice, warm and very hospitable. The nature is beautiful and can make you feel like a tiny little person. Sad to say though, it's also a country with many contrasts.
This site is about informing tourists about things they should know when they come visit Peru, what to take care of, which places are worth going to, which places to avoid, etc, etc. I don't want to scare people off, not at all, I just want people to be informed when traveling to Peru, to enjoy the stay as much as possible without something ruining it which could have been avoided with the right information.
Like i've said before, i've seen a lot of things happening to tourists ( and Peruvians ) which could have been avoided if they would have been informed well enough in advance by their travel agency.
It's up to you if you take my advice or not, but believe me after 6 years I kinda know how things work.

kind regards,

Walter
